ATTENDING: Chairman Jim Wendelgass,
Members Jean Warrick, Wheeler Aman and Township Manager Allen Heist. Jim
Wendelgass called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. Dave
Beideman was present regarding the Sherman Perkins subdivision
application for a 2-lot subdivision for the Titone property located on
Flowing Springs Road and Jaine Lane. Jean Warrick made a recommendation
seconded by Wheeler Aman to approve subject to the completion of the perc test.
Jim Wendelgass abstained. John
and Maureen Tedesco of 542 Blackhorse submitted an application for a two lot subdivision
(1 lot with an existing house). The applicant would like to use the "Fee
in Lieu" for recreation area; they will work with Castle Valley to
determine the amount needed. The results of the perc test will be submitted to
the Township. Jean Warrick made a recommendation to approve the Tedesco
subdivision seconded by Wheeler Aman, with the following condition, a notation
regarding the clear site distance must be added to the plan. All in favor. Weatherstone/Hankin review of the status of the
final plan: a building permit has been issued for the library and applications
have been submitted for the first single family house, approval of the pump and
haul permit must be in place before any additional building permits will be
issued. Joseph
Piccone
submitted a sketch plan for a prososed 8 dwelling subdivision located on
Birchrun Road. The Planning Commission would like to see larger lots and the location
for the proposed road be moved, Mr. Kelly, the applicant’s engineer, will meet
with Mr. Wideman to review storm water issues. The
Columbia Gas Transmission Zoning Hearing Board hearing is scheduled for
Wednesday, May 22, 2002. The Planning Commission is concerned with the level of
noise that will be generated from the station. David

Buttonwood Lane, has submitted an application for a Conditional Use for a
request to modify the June 19, 1994 decision. The hearing will be held on
Monday, June 17, 2002. The Planning Commission is concerned with lighting
issues. Camphill
Village/Hope Springs Equestrian submitted a Conditional Use application to build
and operate a therapeutic riding facility. The Planning Commission concerns are
what kind of fundraisers and how many per year, hours of operation, traffic and
parking issues. Monday,
June 10, 2002 the Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing regarding the
ordinance amendments to the Subdivision/Land
Development and Zoning ordinance. Northern Federation is considering two possible
work programs: Rt. 100 study and a Natural & Cultural Resources Plan. No
recommendation was offered. The
minutes from April 18, 2002 were unanimously approved. There
being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:40 p.m. |
