The administrative meeting of the Board of Supervisors, held in the Township Building, was called to order at 8:05 a.m. by Chairman Kenneth Miller; also in attendance were Supervisor Zoë Perkins and Township Manager Allen Heist.
Two bid proposals have been received for the Phase II Township Park Landscaping Plan from Shemin Nurseries Inc. in the amount of $6,857.67 and Wanner Corporation in the amount of $8,976.00. A motion was made by Mrs. Perkins to accept the bid for Phase II Landscaping at the Township Park from Shemin Nurseries, Inc. in the amount of $6,857.67; the motion was seconded by Mr. Miller and carried unanimously.
The Board received correspondence from Jessina Bereznak, 12 Barrington Lane, requesting approval to plant two evergreen trees at her expense on the St. Stephens Greene Water Plant property to replace two trees, which had died; approval was granted.
Manager Heist reported on a meeting held November 3rd with Gregory Stevens, SLC Senior Living Retirement Community; the property may be sold to a residential developer.
The Board reviewed draft letters to Horseshoe Farms residents regarding dedication of Houndstooth Lane and Houndstooth Circle and Carl Massara regarding his conditional use application; the letters were approved for sending.
A draft copy of the "Township Trail Plan" prepared by the EAC Trail Committee was distributed for review and comment.
Manager Heist will contact two additional bridge engineers regarding cost estimates to replace the Flowing Springs Road Bridge.
Chairman Miller will consult with a local contractor regarding design and construction options available to the Township for completion of a new township building within the proposed budget.
The Board reviewed the draft 2001 Budget as it pertains to the General Fund, State Fund, Building Fund, Kimberton Sewer Fund and St. Stephens Greene Sewer Fund.
