The administrative meeting of the Board of Supervisors, held in the Township Building, was called to order at 8:08 a.m. by Chairman Kenneth Miller; also in attendance were Supervisors Karl Brachwitz and Zoë Perkins and Township Manager Allen Heist.
An executive session was held regarding a real estate matter; the administrative meeting reconvened at 8:30 a.m.
Mrs. Perkins distributed a final draft of the Township Newsletter for review; projected mailing date is Tuesday, February 15th.
Correspondence was received from Sam Cantrell regarding the proposed realignment of St. Andrews Lane; Kenneth Miller and Allen Heist will meet with Mr. Cantrell to discuss potential conditions concerning the relocation project.
Manager Heist is preparing bid specifications for paving the Township Park walking path. The County suggested using a different type of stone base and increasing the width of the walking path from 6' to 6-1/2' to better accommodate wheelchairs and vehicles; taking into consideration the size and prospective use of the Park and the additional cost to augment the existing 6’ aggregate base six inches, the Board agreed to maintain the existing walking path.
The Board reviewed the suggested procedures for the SLC Conditional Use Hearing outlined in Allan Greenwood's correspondence dated February 3, 2000. Item #10 will be revised to allow members of the public who are not parties to ask questions to the Board prior to stating their opinion pro or con the application.
Pennsylvania Council on the Arts has reviewed Chester Springs Studio's pass through grant application for $1000 and has awarded a contract to the Studio for $700. The Township will match the $700 grant and contribute an additional $300 as budgeted.
Roadmaster Kenneth Miller requested the Board's direction regarding damages resulting from snow removal operations. Mailboxes, posts, fences, etc. in the Township Road right of way will be replaced if hit by road equipment; however, damages which occur as a result of the weight of the snow being pushed off the roadway will be the property owners responsibility.
Code Enforcement Officer Robert Wideman is working on a sign inventory, the results of which will be presented to the Board as soon as it is available.
